Friday night was basketball in the Hawk House on the campus of PCHS. The visiting Dunlap Eagles tangled with the Pekin Dragons in a boy's sophomore and varsity contest. The Dragons won the first round but the Eagles took the one that counts the most to most fans. In fact, the Eagles "held" the Dragons to two (2) points in the last quarter and went home with a 25-34 victory after being up by only 1 point at the start of the 4th quarter. I think I am giving too much credit to the Dunlap defense by using the word "held". The young Dragon offense continues to be challenged.
The Varsity Game Pixs Are Here.
The sophomore game provided a lot more action and excitement. I had a request from Dunlap Eagle parents for "Special Focus" on their player and one from a Pekin parent. All were mixing it up nicely and getting touches so it turned out fairly easy to get the requested pixs.
